Found a new project car

I've been keeping an eye out for one cheap enough to mess with without guilt. This cost me the princely sum of $75, which is low for complete functional pedal cars around here.

The pics make it seem like it has a patina to it, but it looks much worse in person and has had at least one crappy attempt at repainting. It's going to get stripped down, the rot & unnecessary holes welded up, then it'll be done up gasser style, complete with "SUGAR RUSH" lettered on the side. These are my inspiration...

And be fore you ask, I don't have any kids. This is purely for my own amusement. Though I might end up adding a handle to the back so a friend can use it to push her kid around car shows this summer.

I think it's too trucky for a gasser. Needs a lift and some chunky snow blower tires.

It looks less truck-like in person, and the step bumper on the back is going away.

If this turns out half as fun as I hope, I'll be looking for more pedal cars to mess with.
